<P>TWedge extends arbitrary software systems or databases with real-time data acquisition services. Modifications of the target system are not required!
<P>Within seconds device data from RS232, RS485, USB, Bluetooth or TCP/IP interfaces is captured with arbitrary applications, databases or ERP systems (e.g. barcode-scanner, scales, gauges, controller, PLC, ...). This software wedge reads data from external devices automatically, the captured data is then reliable transferred to the target application (e.g. to SAP R/3) via direct ODBC or file access, or by simulating keystrokes (keyboard wedge mode).
<P>Each data acquisition requirement is solved by TWedge in an elegant, cost-effective and flexible way. Insert TConnector into VB, VC++, Excel, Access, WinWord, Delphi (and more) and build up a connection to any device (e.g. a barcode reader) within minutes. The unified API supports RS232 (serial port), parallel port (LPT), Intranet (TCP/IP), File-IO (a.m.) with only 3 function calls!
Supported modes: synchronous mode using read/write, event-triggered communication using the OnData event and keystroke simulation of incoming data (software wedge). The built-in TCP/IP support simplifies intranet-based applications considerably!
